Letter from the President

José Luis Carillo. President.

Dear friends,

The quest for new ways to keep growing and maintain our leadership: that is the main objective set at MECALUX for the coming years. To achieve this goal, we have made a serious commitment to innovation and we are strengthening our business in Europe and other countries, such as the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

In this regard, MECALUX will continue to focus on geographical diversification, taking into account certain areas with great potential for growth, as is the case of Central Europe and America. America is already one of our main markets, especially due to the integration of Interlake’s human, production and commercial assets in the United States. Moreover, we believe that the economic potential of the Mercosur area also makes it a key area for us to achieve corporate growth.

Technological development continues to be one of the pillars of our company. In 2010, it allowed us to register 10 patents in the storage sector on an international level, and our objective is to continue our efforts along this line over the next few years. We wanted to share this technological development on our website, where we welcome visitors to take a virtual tour of our showroom and see all the technological advances developed by our R&D department.

As for our products and services, this year has been marked by EasyWMS®, a software package that makes it possible to control the product flow inside a warehouse in real time. Since it was launched, it has been implemented in over 1,000 facilities in countries where the company operates, both in Europe and America.

It goes without saying that our company’s achievements would not have been possible without the efforts and dedication of the more than 3,600 people who form the current staff of MECALUX, and who are undoubtedly our main asset. Our professional team is capable of providing our clients with comprehensive storage solutions 365 days a year. I would like to express my appreciation for the efforts of our staff, as well as my confidence in their work and technical skills to face new projects and needs in the future.
