The new ski equipment warehouse of Rossignol in France

30 May 2018

Mecalux will install some new picking shelves with walkways that will comprise three floors in the warehouse that the French brand Rossignol has in Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs (France). Direct access provided by these racks will make storage and picking work a breeze. Moreover, this solution will top out space usage, tripling the serviceable warehouse area. All levels will be interconnected via a roller conveyor.

The warehouse is located in a level III earthquake zone, which means the racks are reinforced to absorb all the forces generated by tremors.

On each of the three floors, workers will crisscross the aisles picking products off the shelves that will make up each order. They could put together up to a maximum 12 orders at once. With these workflows, Rossignol can supply all its customers faster.

In the main aisle, a mezzanine structure will be set up with a roller conveyor for boxes on each floor. Finished products, ready to be shipped, will flow along these conveyors up to the consolidation and dispatch area.

Picking will be the main operation of the new warehouse of the ski equipment manufacturer Rossignol
