Generative AI integration into Easy WMS
Launch of Easy AI, the generative AI tool that enhances warehouse management
Actions to improve efficiency
Mecalux Software Solutions has integrated generative artificial intelligence (AI) into Easy WMS through Easy AI. This conversational chatbot interprets and responds to complex questions in seven languages, facilitating decision-making and actions aimed at improving warehouse process efficiency.
Easy AI can respond to requests naturally, mimicking human interaction. Additionally, the system evolves through continuous user feedback, refining its responses and better adapting to changing needs. This ensures greater efficiency and accuracy in operational decision-making.

Easy AI in the Easy WMS user interface
Easy WMS’s user interface now features a chatbot powered by Easy AI. It helps streamline daily warehouse tasks, improve processes, access data more efficiently and minimise potential human errors.
Main applications:
- Data queries and widget visualisation. Users can ask about any warehouse-related aspect, such as the status of pending rush orders and the current inventory for a specific product. Easy AI provides precise answers in different formats (e.g. numbers, lists, tables or charts). Additionally, for queries involving consolidated data or requiring analysis, Easy AI delivers information in specific graphical representations (widgets) such as bar or pie charts. The widgets that can be displayed include all those in the catalogue (over 120) featured on the dashboards. Widgets or charts can be expanded and exported for later use.
- Creation of KPI dashboards. Custom dashboards can be generated to monitor warehouse processes (e.g. summarising real-time information on outbound orders or facility occupancy levels). Easy AI interacts with users to determine what information they want to view and automatically builds a dashboard with all requested key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics and other markers.
- Report generation. Users can create downloadable and shareable reports containing essential warehouse management data, such as restricted locations or blocked storage aisles. The information is compiled into a document based on a customisable template tailored to company preferences.
- View design. Easy AI allow users to generate views that are accessible at any time via the Easy WMS menu (for example, to view blocked locations or inventory with the nearest expiry date).
- Execution of specific actions. Users can easily and quickly ask Easy AI to perform various Easy WMS tasks, such as releasing all rush orders or unlocking a specific aisle. These requests are executed automatically, streamlining processes and minimising manual intervention. The system displays a summary of the action and the affected elements. Once the action is confirmed through the chat, it is carried out immediately.
Easy AI in the Easy Builder platform
Easy AI is also integrated into Easy Builder, the Easy WMS development platform, to assist programmers with their tasks and enhance software quality. Developers interact with Easy AI through a chatbot integrated into the application. They can use the tool to generate code, identify inefficiencies and request clarifications through natural language descriptions.
Main applications:
- Code creation. Developers can ask Easy AI to generate C# code by providing a description via the chatbot. By using AI-based features in the code editor, authorised personnel can obtain optimised code simply by summarising the required functionality.
- Query generation. Easy AI can generate LINQ queries based on the context and parameters provided by developers.
- View creation. Programmers can request the generation of views by describing what they want to display. Easy AI understands the description and creates the new view, including its fields and actions.
- Dashboard generation. Easy AI guides developers by asking what they require to create a fully functional dashboard within the selected application. These advanced users can then manually edit and configure the dashboard using the integrated dashboard designer.
- Code explanation. Authorised personnel can submit C# code to the chatbot to obtain a detailed functional explanation. By leveraging the code editor’s extended features, users can select a fragment and access the “Explain Code” option in the context menu.
- Code review. Developers can ask the chatbot to check and correct C# code. Easy AI will search for errors, inefficiencies and inconsistencies, proposing improvements. When employing the code editor’s AI functionality, authorised users can select a fragment and run the “Fix Code” option in the context menu.
