Mecalux will present its automation, software and storage solutions at IMHX 2025. From 9 to 11 September, the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham will host the UK’s biennial event for warehouse and intralogistics professionals, addressing key trends such as automation, AI adoption and sustainability initiatives that are transforming warehousing and logistics.
Warehouse automation
Mecalux has solid experience in implementing automated solutions for companies in all sectors in the United Kingdom. Companies such as Bathroom Mountain, which specialises in online sales of bathroom products and has several showrooms across the country; British Sugar, the leading sugar producer in Great Britain and Ireland; and ALPLA, a global leader in packaging solutions, have already relied on Mecalux technology to transform their logistics centres.
At stand D50, Mecalux will showcase some of its automated solutions for boosting logistics productivity. These include two models from its range of autonomous mobile robots: the AMR 100 Box, equipped with a conveyor for boxes, trays and packages; and the AMR 1500 Pallet Conveyor, for transporting loads of up to 1,500 kg. These autonomous vehicles are responsible for the internal transport of goods between two points with complete independence. They are equipped with navigation software that allows them to move freely around the warehouse, identifying and avoiding obstacles.
Mecalux will also exhibit the 3D Automated Pallet Shuttle, a high-density storage system that uses multidirectional electric shuttles to deposit and retrieve pallets from the racks with efficiency and precision. This solution maximises warehouse capacity, productivity and flexibility.
For the management of smaller items, Mecalux will bring the Shuttle System to IMHX 2025, a high-density solution designed to automatically store boxes and trays and supply picking stations with the goods needed to prepare orders more quickly.
Digital warehouse management
Mecalux will also showcase the range of features offered by its Easy WMS warehouse management software. Among the main new features is the integration of generative artificial intelligence, which allows users to interact with the system via a chat function capable of interpreting and responding to complex queries. This Easy WMS feature improves decision-making and optimises operational efficiency.
Another of Mecalux’s digital innovations is Easy DOM, a system that centralises supply chain management in companies with multiple distribution centres and large daily shipment volumes. Equipped with the latest advances in data analytics, this software integrates and synchronises the different players involved, from warehouses, stores and marketplaces to various ERPs, 3PL operators, transport agencies and call centres.
